Jess and Joe’s romantic summer wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a beautiful celebration of love and family. The chapel was stunningly adorned in dusty blue and sage fabrics, complemented by vibrant live florals in shades of blue, white, and pink, creating a dreamy and enchanting atmosphere. The day was truly a family affair, with their daughters helping Jess get ready for her big moment. Jess looked breathtaking in a sleeveless lace dress featuring a delicate short train, perfect for the rustic and romantic setting. Their daughters shared a special part of the ceremony, walking down the aisle with Joe, while Jess’s little boy took the proud role of walking his mom down the aisle. The sight of Jess approaching brought tears to Joe’s eyes, a touching moment that resonated with all their guests. When the little boy loudly gave her away, it gave all of the guests a chuckle. As part of their wedding, Jess and Joe included a knot ceremony, symbolizing the strength and enduring nature of their union. The celebration was filled with personal touches, including Joe’s anticipation of taking photos with our old jeep truck, and Jess’s excitement about capturing moments against the backdrop of the majestic mountains. Congratulations, Jess and Joe! Your wedding was not only a union of hearts but also a beautiful celebration of your family coming together. May your journey ahead be as joyful and loving as your special day.

From the Bride We met at a smalltown diner. He was working nightshift and woke up early for our first date to meet me on my lunch break. When we finished lunch, I had thought he wasn’t interested. Months later, I told him that and he said “I was trying to figure out how I was going to marry you”. Joe proposed when he took me to his hometown for the weekend to meet his family. I had thought we were just going to this place he had talked about for lunch. He pulled over to show me a lookout and he asked while we were there. We chose to have our romantic summer wedding in East Tennessee because the area is close to his hometown. I started looking online for elopement / micro wedding venues. I saw a picture of the chapel and knew this was the place. I did not want to get married in a church but have always thought little white churches are beautiful. On our wedding day I am most looking forward to spending the day with our children. We picked this as our wedding day because it’s the closest Saturday to 1 year after our first date that we could make work. He works in the oilfield, out of town, so every time he is home, we always make a date night without children. We also enjoy watching Netflix together.
