Taylor and Alex celebrated their love with a charming East Tennessee micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow, beautifully weaving family traditions into their special day. The chapel was elegantly dressed in cream and dusty sage fabrics, adorned with handmade florals crafted by Taylor, her mom, and her grandma. Exciting news for future couples — these florals will be available for you to use! The preparation was a heartwarming family affair, with Taylor’s mom and grandma assisting her in getting dressed. Taylor looked stunning in a sleeveless illusion top dress, featuring an underlayer on the train that sparkled like white constellations, paired with an updo and a long, soft veil that danced in the breeze during their photo session. Her father had the honor of walking her down the aisle, adding to the emotional depth of the ceremony. Alex looked sharp in a classic black suit as he waited at the chapel, complementing the timeless elegance of their wedding decor. They added a touch of personal flair to the celebration by decorating our table with soft, vintage decor and setting up a photo guest book, inviting guests to leave their marks and memories in a uniquely engaging way. Taylor and Alex’s wedding was not just a union of their hearts but a beautiful blend of generational love and creative personal touches. Congratulations, Taylor and Alex! May your journey together be as beautifully crafted and filled with love as your wedding day. From the Bride: Alex and I actually met in high school. He was one of my brother’s friends and I would see him from time to time. He graduated high school while I was just becoming a senior. At that time, my dad was renovating a house and he had Alex help him do some work around the house. I ended up helping the same day he did, but I was so nervous I could barely talk to him the entire time. A few days went by and he asked me out to lunch, but I was so nervous I stood him up. Eventually I caved and went out to eat with him and I’m so thankful I did! After that we were inseparable and he truly became my best friend. Our first date was very chill and laid back. We ended going to eat at our local Mexican restaurant, that soon became our weekly tradition. After eating lunch, we went for some ice cream and just drove around talking and getting to know each other. Alex proposed to me on Valentine’s Day of 2023. He knew that I really didn’t want any grand gestures but just to be surprised and do something with just him and I. He did such a great job! He cooked me dinner, got me flowers and had candles arranged for when I walked in the house. It was such a surprise and sweet thing just being him and I. I wouldn’t have picked it any other way! I honestly looked around a lot at different elopement venues and all-inclusive venues, and Chapel in the Hollow was by far my favorite. I loved its intimacy and simplicity. It just seemed like the perfect place for us and our East Tennessee micro wedding. I’m most looking forward to being able to marry the love of my life and best friend. I’m so excited for our big day and being able to spend it with so many of our friends and family! There’s not a huge significance to our wedding date, other than we got together in June, so we wanted to keep our anniversary in the same month! We love to travel to new places every year. We go out to eat a lot and take our sweet golden retriever Daisy-Mae for walks. We watch new tv shows and movies together. We love to try new places to find the best banana split. And we especially love getting snuggles from our fur babies! We are just so excited and grateful to be able to spend our lives together and have everyone here for the start of the next chapter in our lives!
