Celebrating two decades of love and partnership, Crystal and Dave returned to the altar for a heartfelt 20 year vow renewal at Chapel in the Hollow, surrounded by the natural beauty of the setting and the love of their family. They chose a stunning palette of black and blush fabric to set a moody and romantic atmosphere, perfectly reflecting the depth and richness of their journey together. Crystal requested a slightly darker, more saturated edit so these photos may look a bit different than you are used to seeing from us. Crystal shone in a spaghetti strap dress adorned with sparkle, trailing a long, elegant train behind her. Adding a unique touch to her bridal look, she brought along a cowhide jacket for an edgy flair in some of the photos. Dave looked dashing in jeans paired with a crisp white shirt, black jacket, and a classic bolero tie, embodying a relaxed yet refined style. Their first look took place in the intimacy of the bridal suite, a moment filled with emotion and anticipation. Crystal then walked down the aisle solo, a powerful expression of her individuality and strength, into the arms of her love and partner of twenty years. Witnessed by their four children, their children’s partners, and one adorable grandchild, the ceremony was a testament to the life they’ve built and the love that has grown and deepened over the years. Following family photos—a celebration of their legacy and bonds—we captured the couple in romantic shots, seizing the essence of their enduring love and the joy of this special day. Crystal and Dave’s vow renewal was not just a celebration of the past twenty years but a recommitment to the journey ahead, filled with love, adventure, and family. Congratulations, Crystal and Dave! Here’s to many more years of love, laughter, and happiness. From the Bride: We met in 1999 when I was at his house with his roommate while she was checking her email, he walked in from the gym and his arms were popping! The next day, his roommate ask me if I would go on a double date with him, his friend and her. I thought she was interested in him, so I turned him down at first, but she mentioned she wanted to meet his friend. As soon as I realized he wanted me to be his date, I quickly changed my answer to Yes! We actually hung out at Dave’s house and watched Tombstone a few days before our first date so his roommate and friend could get acquainted. We hit it off, and they didn’t so our first date was solo. We went to State Street in Santa Barbara, CA. I took Dave to the Bahamas for his birthday in 2003, and he pulled off the surprise of a lifetime. We were walking along the beach of our resort at sunset, and he started talking mushy, and I started crying happy tears just because of the things he was saying. I still didn’t know what was happening, but when he dropped down to his knee, I lost it… Of course I said Yes, and we have now been married for 20 years. We are actually renewing our Vows after being married for 20 years. We had a family trip planned with our 4 grown children and their significant others, and we knew it would be the perfect time and place. We wrote our own vows this time around, so I am very excited to hear his and for him to hear mine… this is about reconfirming our love for one another, so not much else matters. We enjoy spending time out by the pool, with family and friends in the summer, or being out on the lake. We enjoy bonfires year round, and in the winter we usually spend our time near the fireplace watching a new series on Netflix and waiting for it to warm back up. We love sporting events and concerts, and have recently begun traveling to spend time together. Our date nights usually consist of Mexican Food and late nights of handing out in front of a fire whether it’s inside or outside.
